There’s a funny thing with this thing: need password to uninstall while we did not put one when we installed.

When my boss decided to replace Symantec Anti Virus CE we encountered this problem. I consulted my log book when we did installation and found no password was asked regarding installation. Sure about that, I asked Mr Google, and seemed others got this also.

After some minutes, I got the answer, just put follow :

Find Reg Key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREINTELLANDESKVIRUSPROTECT6
CURRENTVERSIONADMINISTARTORONLYSECURITY

Set key: USEVPUNINSTALLPASSWORD to 0 (zero)

No password will be asked during uninstallation.

I thought, why do we, the legitimate users, hard to do uninstallation while pest software easily knock off the protection ? SAV can not “up” on some of the computers because of some kind of spyware.
